Do barnes and nobles ebooks work on more than just a nook?

Question by FalconElite24: Do barnes and nobles ebooks work on more than just a nook?
I asked my mom for Nook for Christmas but I’m afraid she might have bought me a cheaper eReader from my local CVS that was on sale. My question is if I download books of barnes and nobles ebook store, are those books compatible with more eReaders than just a nook?

Yes, however, not all ebook readers read nook books. You can also download the app to different types of gadgets i.e. iPad, Blackberry, your PC/laptop/netbook, etc.

If I were you, I’d wait and see what the ebook reader brand is. Then work from there.

Which ebook reader should I get?

Question by Marlena: Which ebook reader should I get?
I was thinking about getting a Kindle, but I have been reading that they break easily and have poor screen contrast. Now, I’m thinking about a Sony, but hear they don’t have a good selection of ebooks. Anybody have any advice?

This is for a Christmas gift for somebody who travels by plane a lot. So, it would be nice if it were light weight also.

in case your wondering I recommend the sony, I had one before but It just never really liked it…so I gave it to someone else…
edit here’s a comparison chart though it’s from sony but it doesn’t really seem to be bias.
