I was just curious if anyone who has read any of the Percy Jackson books thought that it was a book strictly for kids. I know the main character is only 12 years old. I really love the mythology that the author is dealing with, but want to make sure I’m not in for a third-grade read before I buy it.

no its a really great series. for all ages… i recomend it!
They are great books and he and his friends age as the books go on. Age examples:
Lightning Thief: 12 years
Sea of Monsters: 13 years
Titan’s Curse: 14 years
Battle of the Labyrinth (my personal favorite so far!): 15 years
Last Olympian: 16 years
these books are a good read and although they be a little more geared for ppl between the ages of maybe 12-18 maybe, if you have an inner kid then maybe I’d stretch that to maybe 25 or 26 at the highest
It is a GREAT series, and every age could/should/might love it! I am 11, and I love it! Great!
It is a great series for all ages. Percy gets older through out the series anyways so the fact that he starts out 12 doesn’t matter. I really think you would like it if you like mythology. =)
Well you will never really know until you start reading it! I am 15 years old and I love the Percy Jackson and the Olympian Series, I have gotten my parents into the book and they appreciate the book as good as me. There is a humorous cast in the book and is a good learning experience if you like mythology. Disney has recently sponsored the last book of the series so I think its great for people of all ages. Hope I helped!
My mom read it and she loved it, so, no, it’s great for adults too.
